model: Cassette For Stationary
Photoscanned retopologized asset. This type of cassette for stationery was manufactured at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries in southern German centres, including one in Nuremberg. They appeared in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth at the end of the 17th century, as a product of important Gdańsk-based goldsmith workshops, including Christian I Pichgel and Nathaniel Schlaubitz. The presented artefact is probably also a work from the goldsmith centre in Gdańsk, but due to the lack of the original base (it was replaced in the 19th century), the cassette does not bear the goldsmith signs that would clearly confirm this hypothesis.
