Scene of the Perseverance rover and Ingenuity drone on the surface of Mars.
Distance culling, Camera Culling and other geometry nodes optimizations were implemented to improve viewport performance. These parameters can be controlled from the Modifier tabs for the geometry nodes.
Keep in mind that you will see points instead of objects in the viewport unless toggled off from the geometry nodes modifier tab. in the final render the actual rock models always show.
The ground textures were extracted from actual images of the ground of Mars.
Added "Dust" to the rocks to mimic the Martian environment. For the world environment I used the basic sky texture adjusted for the Martian environment with the correct sun size.
The Terrain was created in Gaea specifically for this scene and textured in Blender.
